Click Start, Run. Type Regedit.exe and press ENTER:

Go to the following branch:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PowerPointViewer.SlideShow.11\sh ell\

Create a new key named "Open".

If you get an error message (about lack of permissions to modify the key),
you'll need to allow Full Control permissions for your user account, to that
key and subkeys.
