RE: Aspi32

Windows doesn't use the Aspi32 driver when playing CDs, DVD or playing MP3s
so I have doubts the Aspi32 driver would be causing problems with sound on
one device and not the other. If you are using a 3rd party DVD player this
could be related to the Aspi32.

If the problem is with playing back CDs you might have different different
settings enabled for the devices that cause them to act differently. Is the
checkbox for "Enable digitial CD audio for this CD-ROM device" checked the
same on both devices? You can find out by right clicking on one of the drives
in Explorer and selecting Properties and then the Hardware tab and then
clicking on each of the CD or DVD devices to see if the check box is checked.

If the problem is related to playing DVDs or MP3 I would suggest checking
the device manager to see if both drives have DMA enabled for the IDE
channels to which the drives are connected.
