Re: folder options

If the Folder Options sub-menu is missing under Tools menu in Windows Explorer, read below:

NoFolderOptions policy hides the "Folder Options" applet in the Control Panel, and the "Folder Options" sub-menu under Tools menu in Windows Explorer. To get the option back, (in standalone systems) use these steps:

Start Regedit.exe and navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer
-and-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer

Backup the keys, and delete the "NoFolderOptions" value in the right pane.

Follow-up with a thorough virus/malware check after removing the NoFolderOptions Policy.
