Hi,
What is the name of the animation that Windows 98 had? The one with the tilted Windows logo and spins? Thanks in advance.

You're thinking of a famous public service announcement:

"This is a geek...This is a geek on drugs...Any questions?"

No I'm not, I'm talking about the animation in the upper right corner. I
will attach a picture of it.

I miss that in IE7 (very handy)
throbber and cornerlogos

I always changed to the one that came with IE4.
And the static one I used white background.
The windows flag was too ugly.
I never used the large one either.
They were:
brand.bmp - large animated (38x1748)
smbrand.bmp - small animated (22x1012)
small.bmp - static (22x22 )
big.bmp - static (38x38)
And were here:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar]
"BrandBitmap"="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Custom\brand.bmp"
"SmBrandBitmap"="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Custom\smbrand.bmp"
"SmallBitmap"="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Custom\small.bmp"
"BigBitmap"="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Custom\big.bmp"
or just the static one:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"SmallBitmap"="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Custom\small.bmp"
"BigBitmap"="C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Custom\big.bmp"

A throbber is now on the tab, still handy.

Not as pretty or as useful when you are on dialup.
But that is minor issue that I can survive.
Just accustomed to it for so many years.
