DCOM error10020

Hi,

Whenever I start my computer I get a number of 10020 errors appearing in the
Event Viewer. The message given along with this error contains the phrases:
"...machine wide Default Launch and Activation security descriptor..." and
"... Access control entries are not valid..." I am told that I can fix this
through the Component Checker.

This I have tried to do, but without any indication as to what particular
component is at fault, I do not know which one is at fault.

Any idea how find out which component is causing these errors and how to fix
it?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

If the above didn't help can you provide the exact error messages (verbose)
in your next post and what software installed on this machine.
Run disk cleanup and this command:
sfc /scannow click [OK]
Reboot your machine.

Hi,

Unfortunately, neither of the suggestions you gave and so, as requested,
here is the exact error message as copied and pasted from event viewer:

Event Category: None
Event ID: 10020
Date: 15/04/2008
Time: 23:44:17
User: N/A
Computer: EARTHXP
Description:
The machine wide Default Launch and Activation security descriptor is
invalid. It contains Access Control Entries with permissions that are
invalid. The requested action was therefore not performed. This security
permission can be corrected using the Component Services administrative
tool.
