How to launch Windows Explorer directly in Drive View in Windows 7
Windows explorer is a place from where you can access all the data on your computer weather it is in the drives or folders. Some people mostly use it to access data, copy paste files and folders using drag & drop method from one drive to another and one folder to another folder.
Here I am going to show you how you can modify the Windows explorer shortcuts to launch directly in drive view in Windows 7 .
For this Update the Start Menu shortcut using steps below:
1. Click on the Start Button and type in Windows Explorer.
2. Right click on the shortcut Windows Explorer when it appears in the search results and click on Properties.
3. Select the Shortcut tab, in the target textbox write the text: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /root,:{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
4. Click Apply and Ok to save the changes.
You can also Update using the TaskBar Shortcut as :
1. Right click on the Windows Explorer TaskBar icon.
2. Then Right click on the Windows Explorer shortcut and select Properties.
3. On the Shortcut tab, change the target to: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /root,:{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}
4. Click Apply and Ok to save the changes.
