Login required, but doesn't work. Possible solution???

I have had an issue similiar to others regarding Windows Mail suddenly
requiring a login. It will not accept my username and password. I have a
solution that worked for me.

My error message was: 0x800CCC92
Which explained to me is a password issue.

After talking with Rogers reps, they were unable to find a solution which
included deleting and adding a new account, turning off my virus scanner, and
tweaking settings. None worked. It was determined that it was nothing to do
with my end (especially since this was happening to both my laptop and
desktop). They asked their supervisor who instructed them to file the issue
with Yahoo. Twice we did this and twice Yahoo said they fixed the problem,
but did not. Mainly because they could not duplicate the problem. Today, I
talked with my fourth Rogers rep who wished to try changing my password. We
kept the same account, but changed only the password. THIS WORKED!! We even
managed to change back to the original password and it still worked. He
wasn't sure why this corrected it, but at this point, we really don't
care...it just worked.

Just another option for those still having issues...hopefully it works for
you.
Good luck!!

Thanks for sharing. Although corruption of the password at the server
level is rare, it can and does happen. A Webmail login attempt should
reveal where the password problem is situated.
