Active Sync 4.5 getting support code: 85010014

I have a Gateway Tablet PC running XP SP2. I have been using Active Sync 4.5
for about a year. I have been sync'ing to Outlook 2007 to my Sprint PPC-6700
for about 6 months with no problems. About 2 weeks ago I started getting the
following message:

Active Sync encountered a problem on the desktop. Support Code: 85010014.

I have reset the PPC-6700 and it did not help. I removed Active Sync 4.5
and reinstalled Active Sync 4.5 and that did not help.

Any suggestions for next steps to troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks

This error code indicates a problem with Outlook. Try running Outlook
Diagnostics. If that does not help, I recommend a reinstall.

Re: Active Sync 4.5 getting support code: 85010014

Hi Linley,

I did the following:

1) Uninstalled Office Small Business 2007.
2) Turned off the PC.
3) Turned on the PC.
4) Re-installed Office Small Business 2007.
5) Connected my PPC-6700 to PC via USB cable.
6) ActiveSync 4.5 started automatically.
7) Synchronization started.
8) Received the same error message

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Phil

Update:

I unistalled and reinstalled ActiveSync 4.5 and this was no help.
I also deleted the PDA and added it again. No help.

The problem might be with your pst file then. Locate scanpst.exe on
your pc and run it on your pst file. If there is any errors in there,
scanpst will fix it. You'll find it in Office folder under Program
Files.

Re: Active Sync 4.5 getting support code: 85010014

Thanks, the tip on running scanpst.exe is great. I'm using Microsoft
Exchange so I had to run scanost.exe and it corrected the error.

It would be really nice if someone would post this because I looked for a
solution for 4 hours, totally frustrating.

Re: Active Sync 4.5 getting support code: 85010014

This didn't solve my issue. I am using a Cingular 8125 and POP for my email.
I ran the scanpst and although it found errors and I selected to have them
repaired, ActiveSync 4.5 is still not sending Outlook info to my 8125. Any
ideas....anyone?

I am having the same problem. Both Office Diagnostics and scanpst found
errors, but after correcting am still getting the same error code. Hope
someone can shed some light on this.
