Need Ideas To Improve our Forum

Hi Guys,

I feel we need to do more things here, at least to get away from Boredom. :p

We have some good guys here like 1mAn3rd , Wolfie, TCO, Darkstar ..... , who can contribute a lot for the development of our community.

What about rejuvenating the News posting Team ?


Please give your suggestions, we'll discuss it over here.

A few is better than none, isn't it? :)

We'll start with our guys and an enhanced activity by 5-10 members is enough to make a community alive. More members will follow once they see this.

A team of members who can spend some time to collect interesting articles and post in the forums. With a special private forum to discuss strategies and new sources. Help each other in improving article writing skills etc.

We had a team earlier, but slowly it died down.
 
Wooo, I didn't know I was considered a good guy ;) Well, remember when there was at least 50 people a day? Try looking for a good advertising site... they helped my site a lot. And when the new people see how many users that are already on this site, they will be impressed and sign up themselves. You can also maybe sign up on some random tech forums and make a few posts and in your signature make a link to TT... BTW, I would love to join the news team :D

If you want to remake the news team, I would suggest that you make more sections on the forum for news to be posted, other than just the software news. I couldn't think of ideas myself, but it would be helpful for news posters to have a good amount of choices to post in, just to organize things.
Also, you should take the mini google ads out of posts, because it makes people want to go to those links and those links are based on the content of the post. This will direct traffic away from us, if you know what I mean... I purely love this skin, but we've had it since I signed up, which was about a year ago... so maybe you could open up a donations link in the nav bar and you can save up for a nice clean skin.
OOO! I just got a great idea! If we are going to make a new news team, make a sub-url http://www.news.techtalkz.com/ and install wordpress. Just a thought :p
@metal: The limit is there so people don't make a post to say thanks or some small thing that they could just say by clicking the Thanks button.

We have 16000 members here, but number of active members are very few. Why??

Make a new section called web designer's heaven or something else. And post tutorials of html,css,js,asp,php,vbscript,ajax and many others. I think web school is a good name.
plx give ur suggestions...
