Default caps lock issue (n00b here, sorry if this is a *reposted question* gang!

Okay, I'm a n00b here, I used the 'glorious' "Search" button- but I'm
not really sure what I've found is specific to my issue.

The Issue at Hand:

When typing either in a forum (such as this), and email or Word Doc.
and I click on the 'caps lock'

my cursor get's 'kicked' off the sentance I'm writing and I have to use
my mouse or mouse pad to get back on where I was.

What the heck is this all about? I turned off the 'caps lock'
notification; but it keeps appearing.

Uhm. Ya. Welcome to VISTA! (just did it again! DOH!!!) :sa:

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks peeps.

Hi,

That's certainly not a normal behavior (but you knew that, mmm?) Have you
tried reinstalling or updating the keyboard driver?

I've done some research on this; and it might be a registry issue?

Again- this is on a Dell Laptop with Vista Home Premium 64bit. When
caps lock is enabled it 'kicks me off' that screen and I have to mouse
back-

Very aggrevating.

Default Error 0x80244019

I receive this error 0x80244019 everytime I try to update my Windows Vista
using the Windows Update. Also, the Windows Defender encountered the same
problem.
I tried to use another internet connection but the problem persist.
Can anyone help me?
Please...
I'll wait for a reply to maryus_iordache@windowslive.com

So do you have the same issue I have or are you hijacking my thread
with something entirely different.

I suggest that you start a new thread with this problem instead of
adding to this thread - which has NOTHING to do with your error at all.

according to one of the IT guys here; he said the computer/cursor is
losing 'focus'. He tried it yesterday and it's still doing it.

Very bizarre.
