Default 2007 Home & Student edition licenses

I have installed Office 2007 H&S edition on two comupters in my house. One
of them came with the software already installed. I thought I got 3 licenses
with the product when I bought the installation disks, however, when I
attempted to load the software onto my new laptop, I was told there were no
more licenses left. I am positive that it is only on 2 computers. Do I have
any chance of getting that 3rd license?

Try using the telephone activation method.

Thanks - but will I be able to speak with a person, or will it all be
automated?

It will be automated initially but if that fails then you will be able to
speak to a real person.

On the certificate of authenticity (the one that you got with the software
you are attempting to install which includes the 25 character activation
key) there will be a three character code in the lower right portion of the
label. Look at the label and if it is FPP you can install onto three
computers and follow JoAnn & Gordon's instructions after you totally
uninstall any Office trial software and activation wizard from your new
laptop and then reboot the laptop. If the code is OEM or MLK the license
only allows installation on ONE computer.

Let us know what you find.
