Generic host process for Win32 services - WITH SP3

I need some guidance/assistance/help - you name it - for this error. A
computer with Windows XP, after upgrading to SP3 is STILL getting the
'generic host process for Win32 services has encountered and error" message.
According to all of the KB arcticles I could locate, this should NOT be
happening since it was one of the fixes listed in SP3. Any ideas on what I
can do to fix it?
