inplace upgrade windows 2003 domain to SBS2008 Premium

Never been asked to do upgrade from existing Windows 2003 domain to a
SBS2008 Premium domain before and now have 2 new clients lllokg to do
exactly that. Is the a document on how to do this? TIA

No, there is no "in-place" upgrade. For many older servers, you need new
hardware (SBS 2008 requires 64-bit hardware). There is a migration document
for SBS 2003 to SBS 2008, or you could also do a swing migration:

Migrating to Windows Small Business Server 2008 from Windows Small Business
Server 2003

In some cases it may be easier to do a new install of SBS 2008 and then
migrate the data manually from the old server.

Sorry, used wrong term. I want to add a new Dell SBS2008 into an existing
Windows 2003 domain, decomission all Windows 2003 roles, dhcp, dns etc and
end up with a sbs2008 premium but keep all user accounts and shares.
I have done several sbs2003 ->sbs2008 and have no issues with that process.

I would prefer to create a whole new Domain and just move users but client
wants to explore this option first.

This is essentially the same process as migration from SBS 2003 to SBS 2008,
except that you don't have any Exchange or SharePoint to worry about. IOW,
follow the migration steps in

but skip the exchange and sharepoint migration.
